happy new year!

i will be turning 20 in 24 hours, which means i will be eligible to work for a few middle eastern airlines. the main target amongst them is Etihad, up and coming airline from United Arab Emirates.
then again, i have been persevering for Singapore Airlines' interviews, and it has been pretty tough cause i felt that i hardly met their standards. seems like i'm always flawed in one way or another. oh well, but i know girls who have tried more than 20 times and finally got it. it's all about luck i suppose.
the new batch of crew will probably be coming in a month or two later; i heard that they are getting a higher basic pay than us who have been hired under the same shitty agency that practically ripped us off. i heard this from one of the girls a batch earlier than me today, and god it's infuriating! how dare they!? we did joke about zapping the new batch just for kicks since they were getting a better pay. but seriously, no one will take us seriously unless one of us leaves. everyone has sworn to leave, but so far, for some weird reason, none of us have been able to get a place in better airlines. could it been a fix up? the agency that hired us seem to be up to dirty, dishonest work, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they did spread a few words to prevent us from getting jobs in commercial airlines for now.
on a brighter note, work has been picking up, due to the recent "shortage" of crew. i rather be doing more sectors than pushing sales cuz it's really based on luck that sales are good. anyway, that day we suffered a major air pocket on the way to Saigon, and, the Vietnamese being Vietnamese, were on a puking spree thereafter. okay, it was pretty funny until we found numerous vomit bags later on.
crew have been wonderful, and i mended relations between me and a senior who had last worked with me on my first solo, and disliked me over certain misunderstandings that i was "lazy". all i can say is, i like to prove people wrong. (:
